Burning ISO images to CD??
I did not get a CD burner until last week, so I have no experience burning iso images of Linux distributions. Also, I have a 56.6K dial-up connection to the Internet, so I do not think I would care to download something like Red Hat 7.3 (that I am running) because that takes 3 CDs full of stuff.

Unfortunately the CD burner only came with the Adaptec DirectCD software which does not provide a way to write an ISO image to the CD. I downloaded the Gear PRO 5 CDR premastering software. I have several small ISO images that I want to burn to the same CD-R. It is a real wastage of both media and space to burn 1 ISO image to 1 CD-R. Another really good , minimal distribution is Damn Small Linux and as far as fuller distributions go, my favorite is PCLinuxOS anyway, I used puppy 3.01 sea monkey Just download the .iso file and then with your cd burning software, there should be an option to "burn image" be sure to use the "burn image" option

In each zip file is an iso type file. Each of these is meant to be burned to CD with the appropriate burning software for burning ISO images. The resulting CD will be an installation I use Nero for burning ISO images to CD. You have to setup Nero specifically for burning an ISO image for it to work correctly.
